And many other friends, families and organizations who have generously donated their financial resources, time and prayers to make Theranova an organization which has reached and continues to reach many physically challenged people in Romania.
Our concern is to take into account the need of our customers and to offer them high quality products, orthopedic technicians trained in specialized courses in different countries (USA, Germany, Hungary, Croatia). The technology and materials needed to produce prosthetic and orthotic devices come from international companies with a highly respected reputation.
We were delighted to have the expertise and advice of organizations from across the world in the field of orthotics and prosthetics. With their consultation and refinement of the design of our orthopedic workshops and machinery rooms, this facility, along with its trained technicians, will produce the highest quality orthotics and prosthetics in Europe.
The machines that we have installed are of the highest quality manufactured and should last us a long time. Some are also quite advanced using laser technology to assure proper and accurate alignment for those patients who are difficult to measure.
One of the highlights of our journey to this point has been the opening of our facility in June 2002. We had a grand celebration with many people important in the life of Theranova. We celebrated together with our sponsors and friends from Casa Minunata, the local university and doctors from the local hospitals.
We were privileged to have Mr. Jim Sankey, a founding sponsor of Theranova, and his son, Clay, join us for this exciting time. Clay honored us by cutting the ribbon and formally opening our facility.
Mr. Marcel Baeriswyl from Germany, representing Johanniter International became our strong foundation in developing our facility, providing machines and covering construction costs. Mr. Baeriswyl provided training for our technicians regarding the most modern and advanced casting technology. Johanniter has become a great supporter for us both technically and financially and we depend on expanding our professional relationship with them.
South African Ambassador, Mr. Andries Venter, joined the local officials to collaborate with us in a combined effort to open the Theranova Prosthetic and Orthotic Center. He and the local officials have been very supportive of Theranova from the beginning.
We thank you for your continued faithfulness to the patients we are reaching. They have nowhere else to turn and are very grateful and highly impressed by the fact that people from other countries provide them with their prosthetics and orthotics. It has made a significant impact on all of their lives of their families. |
